Carollo Engineers is seeking an Entry Level Engineer to join their Private Sector Group. This role involves working on the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater facilities, contributing to meaningful projects in a collaborative and inclusive environment. The position offers an opportunity to develop engineering skills while making a positive impact in the field of environmental engineering.

  • Perform engineering work in water and wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure.
  • Work on engineering planning and design projects.
  • Prepare reports and develop plans and specifications.
  • Prepare cost estimates for various water and wastewater projects.
  • Conduct system modeling and permitting and alternative analysis.
  • Prepare technical memoranda, reports, and electronic deliverables.
  • Perform data entry and analysis.
  • Provide engineering services during construction.
  • Participate in field activities such as pilot testing.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum academic requirements include coursework in physical, chemical, and biological processes; hydraulics; and principles of water and wastewater treatment plant and infrastructure design.
  • 0 to 4 years of directly-relevant experience in water and wastewater engineering.
  • Application of engineering principles including critical thinking, analysis, and innovative techniques.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Highly motivated, articulate, and self-starting.
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
  • Engineer-in-Training Certification.
  • Master's degree in Engineering.
  • Familiarity with computer applications including ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and water and sewer hydraulic calculations/modeling software (WaterGEMS, InfoWater, InfoWorks ICM, InfoSWMM).
