About The Position
Yamhill County Sheriff's Office is actively recruiting to create a pool of diverse candidates eligible for current and future regular, full-time entry-level Deputy vacancies in our Enforcement (Patrol) Division. Enforcement Deputies patrol county roads and residential and business areas, as well as waterways, to enforce local and state laws, investigate traffic accidents, and investigate crimes and complaints relating to criminal law enforcement in the County. Positions require work in a 24-hour per day, 7-day a week environment with shift rotation in 8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour shifts depending on assignment. May be required to work with rotating shift schedules including working day, swing, and night shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required. These positions are represented through Teamsters Local 223. Incentive pay is available for education, certification, and bilingual speakers. These positions carry an 18-month probationary period.
