About The Position

General Dynamics Mission Systems has an opening for an Entry-level Electrical Engineer. This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s core defense/intelligence services and systems. GDMS employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. As an Entry-level Electrical Engineer you will be able to spend your first few months diving into specific assignments that will help develop your technical skills. In conjunction with an opportunity to be trained in GDMS technology and practices, you will be assigned to a program with defined performance expectations and deadlines. You’ll get to network with new and experienced teammates. The Entry-Level Electrical Engineer is responsible for participating in electrical requirement analysis, functional analysis, performance analysis (e.g. timing, power, etc.), design and verification of electrical components, equipment and systems under direct supervision.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field.
  • Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

  • Knowledge of electrical engineering design tools

  • Working knowledge in Microsoft Office applications
  • Working knowledge in electrical engineering design tools

  • Ability to recognize and clearly report information relevant to sound electrical engineering design
