About The Position

The Entry Level EHS Coordinator at Oldcastle APG is responsible for overseeing the quality of Growing Media and Mulch products at the plant level. This role includes ensuring compliance with environmental health and safety (EH&S) regulations, conducting inspections, and managing the EH&S program in accordance with OSHA, Oldcastle, and EPA requirements. The coordinator will also handle formulation oversight, testing, and raw material inspections to maintain product quality.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; Associate's degree preferred.
• Experience with lab and testing procedures preferred.
• Experience with safety programs and compliance.
• Some experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Some mechanical aptitude or experience with production processing equipment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions and operations manuals.
• Adequate computer skills.
• Ability to lift objects weighing up to 60-80 pounds each.
• Ability to endure intermittent bending, crouching, pushing, pulling, stooping, and reaching.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work under extreme conditions such as hot or cold temperatures, noise, dust, and dirt.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain the EH&S program.
• Routinely inspect and observe plant equipment and activities for safe processes.
• Prepare and submit all required reports to Oldcastle or applicable agencies.
• Keep the plant in compliance with EH&S regulations.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
