The Entry Level Engineer (Power Distribution) position involves providing detailed engineering, design, and planning assessments and recommendations. The role requires evaluating system operations and developing project scopes for overhead and underground utility systems. The engineer will evaluate electrical power systems and design replacements according to utility standards, as well as develop and modify accurate estimates and engineering drawings using BlueBeam, AutoCAD, and/or GIS software. Regular meetings with managers, engineers, and colleagues will be necessary to review project statuses and determine appropriate communication courses of action. Site visits will be required to assess existing utilities and gather necessary information for each project. The engineer will also coordinate right-of-way acquisition, planning, and design functions through regular project updates to ensure schedule adherence and work forecasting. The position requires working a minimum of 40 hours a week, with possible overtime, and may include additional duties as assigned.
