About The Position

POWER Engineers, Inc. is seeking an Entry-Level Distribution Engineer for the Power Delivery Distribution Department in Tyler, Texas. This entry-level position entails performing distribution design, basic engineering calculations, as well as a variety of other tasks as assigned by utility clients. Distribution design typically includes, but is not limited to, physical design, electrical design, and developing a bill of materials.

Requirements

• Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited university, preferably with a power option.
• Strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of electrical engineering.
• Must be able to successfully pass client's background screening process.
• Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Nice To Haves

• A BSEE or BSEET degree from an ABET-accredited university, preferably with a power option.
• A basic understanding of overhead and underground distribution circuits.
• Engineer in Training certificate (EIT) or ability to obtain one upon hiring.
• Internship or co-op experience with a utility.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively with different personalities.

Responsibilities
