About The Position

We're looking for entry-level Diesel Technicians with at least 6 months of experience in the Heavy Class 8 Mechanical Industry (or similar industry) to build an exciting career at Carvana - the fastest-growing used automotive retailer in U.S. history and one of the four fastest companies to make the Fortune 500! As a member of the Fleet Maintenance team, you'll play a key role in helping deliver happiness to our customers by ensuring all preventative maintenance and general repairs are completed on our vehicle haulers and trailers in a timely manner and up to Carvana standards. Requirements

• At least 6 months experience in Heavy Class 8 Mechanical Industry or a similar industry.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Must have your own tools to complete daily tasks, specialty tools will be provided by Carvana.
• Requires standing for extended periods of time with frequent stretching, reaching, walking and stooping, pushing and/or pulling in an environment that may be cold, hot, noisy, and wet and may have fumes or odors due to vehicle maintenance.
• Must be able to carry and transport up to 60 pounds up to 20 feet.
• Ability to communicate and interact with others effectively in a professional, courteous manner.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Perform general and preventative maintenance for all heavy equipment in our fleet in alignment with Carvana standards (including brake and tire repair).
• Inspect all equipment regularly and perform light diagnostics, troubleshooting, and electrical work.
• Maintain accurate and proper records for all repairs performed on our fleet (including parts records).
• Replace and repair all tires within the TIA parameters and guidelines.
• Pass and maintain the DTNA Warranty course.
