We're looking for inspection and testing professionals to join us in providing high-level inspection and testing services to our diverse client base on projects throughout Texas. What You'll DoAs a Construction Materials Field Technician, your exposure to a wide variety of responsibilities may include but not be limited to: Routine quality control test procedures including concrete and nuclear moisture / density testing Becoming familiar with reading and understanding applicable construction plans and specifications Preparation and submission of daily reports Interact with clients, contractors, and other design professionals Attendance at job site related meetings Performance of testing in our soils and construction materials testing laboratories Opportunity for continuing education and role-specific certification Willingness to work flexible hours including nights and weekends. Requirements

  • NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to pass drug test.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member, maintain composure, and work effectively in a high-pressure environment with changing priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • A good work ethic and high level of personal integrity
  • Able to use a company provided laptop or iPad and a working knowledge of MS Office programs (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • This position requires the ability to: Bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds (22.68 kg) repetitively and over 50 pounds (22.68 kg) using handling equipment (hand truck, etc.).
  • Operate heavy equipment as necessary (i.e., ultrasonic non-destructive testing machine, concrete cylinder press, etc.).
  • Maintain safe mobility over construction obstacles by foot and ladder, traversing over rough broken ground and steep surfaces.
  • Work outside in variable weather at field sites and in labs with various levels of safety protection required.
  • While much of the work is local to the Austin-Metro Area, some travel may be required.

Nice To Haves

  • Construction-related training or technical training.
  • Valid ICC Certifications in Reinforced Concrete and Soils.
  • Valid OSHA-10 Certification.
