Requirements

  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

  • Associate Degree in Construction Management or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect Transportation Construction Projects: Ensure all work and materials meet project plans, proposals, and specifications
  • Perform Key Measurements & Calculations: Verify weights, volumes, and measurements to ensure accuracy
  • Prepare 'As-Built' Documentation: Plot and run cross sections, and document project progress
  • Conduct Materials Testing: Ensure materials meet quality standards throughout the project lifecycle
  • Daily Documentation: Record all inspection activities and findings in detailed reports
  • Work Outdoors: Enjoy the variety of working in different weather conditions and environments
  • Physical Responsibilities: Be prepared for heavy lifting and manual tasks as part of the inspection process
  • Travel Across the State: Visit construction sites across the state, ensuring every project is up to code
  • Independent Work: Take ownership of your tasks and work with minimal supervision
  • Flexible Hours & Travel: Expect extended hours and occasional overnight stays as part of the role
