VHB’s Wethersfield, CT office is seeking an Entry Level Site/Civil Engineer to join our Land Development team and learn how to design and permit all kinds of challenging and rewarding projects. Requirements

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with strong desire to learn and grow
  • Thrives in a team environment
  • Ability to think critically and creatively
  • BS in Civil Engineering or related field
  • 0-1 years of engineering experience
  • Competent with Microsoft Office products

Nice To Haves

  • AutoCAD, HydroCAD and StormCAD experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Work within a team of professionals in developing site civil engineering plans and specifications for a multitude of complex land development projects
  • Civil engineering design and permitting of residential, industrial, hospitality, institutional and commercial sites including grading and drainage, utilities,roadways and parking
  • Preparing plans and reports in support of State and local permitting
