About The Position

Carollo Engineers is seeking an Entry Level Civil/Mechanical Infrastructure Engineer to assist in executing water and wastewater conveyance infrastructure projects, including pipelines and pump stations, for clients in Texas. This role involves working within a collaborative team environment to contribute to meaningful engineering projects that impact the community.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum academic requirements include coursework in hydraulics and principles of water and wastewater infrastructure design
• 0 to 4 years of directly-relevant experience in water and wastewater engineering
• Engineer-in-Training Certification
• Application of engineering principles including critical thinking, analysis, and innovative techniques
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Work well in a team environment
• Highly motivated, articulate, and self-starting
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with computer applications including ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and water and sewer hydraulic calculations/modeling software (WaterGEMS, InfoWater, InfoWorks ICM, InfoSWMM)

Responsibilities

• Performing engineering work in water and wastewater conveyance infrastructure
• Work on engineering planning and design projects
• Develop plans and specifications
• Prepare cost estimates for various water and wastewater projects
• System modeling and hydraulic calculations
• Permitting and alternative analysis
• Preparation of technical memoranda, reports and electronic deliverables
• Data entry and analysis
• Provide engineering services during construction
• Participate in field activities such as alignment studies and site visits
