About The Position

The entry-level production employee at Kraton Corporation plays a crucial role in the Operations team, working in both indoor and outdoor chemical process operations. This position involves monitoring automated systems and performing various manual tasks related to production processes, ensuring safety and efficiency in operations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to effectively work on shift teams.
• Computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook.
• Knowledge of machines and tools, with demonstrated mechanical ability preferred.
• Troubleshooting skills, ability to utilize critical thinking, sound decision making, and disciplined problem solving.

Nice To Haves

• Chemical Operator certificate or degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate equipment to control chemical changes or reactions in the processing of Kraton products.
• Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
• Adjust equipment control settings and record data.
• Perform process sampling and field analysis as required.
• Monitor processes and perform routine area surveillances.
• Lubricate, clean, and perform applicable preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Prepare equipment for maintenance and inspect completed maintenance work with craft workers.
• Move raw and processed materials.
• Perform routine safety equipment checks and other audits.
• Operate and maintain packaging equipment.
