About The Position

This position requires basic knowledge of plan reading and a more than basic knowledge of math. This position must resolve problems of limited scope and complexity. This position requires occasional periods of intense concentration, as well as average strength and stamina. This position involves long periods of work in front of a computer monitor where slight color differences must be recognizable. This position is within a normal office environment with little exposure to noise, dust, fumes, etc., and requires infrequent travel.

Requirements

0-5 years of experience and/or 1-2 years of training at a technical college
Ability to speak and write professionally
Good analytical and problem solving skills
Attention to detail
Experience with MicroStation and AutoCAD in a similar environment
High school diploma required
CAD training course(s)

Nice To Haves

Computer-Aided-Drafting associates degree preferred

Responsibilities

Responsible for interpreting, analyzing, organizing, executing, and coordinating new design projects and/or revisions to existing projects of varying scales and complexity
Apply engineering principles and procedures while performing engineering design work
Perform design calculations as needed
Provide design details as needed
Seek resolutions on non-standard analytical problems
Create estimated time requirements for projects
Attend project-specific meetings to determine CAD schedules
Save project-specific data on a daily and weekly basis
Verify field survey notes
Assist Project Managers as needed
Attend meetings as needed
Maintain excellent client relations
Maintain a safe working environment
