Responsibilities
- Assist in the operation and adjustment of woodworking and assembly equipment, including table saw, chop saw, jointer, hand router, splinter, power screwdrivers, power screw dado machine, and miscellaneous hand tools.
- Learn how to correctly measure, cut, and prepare materials according to project specifications.
- Learn woodworking techniques and proper use of adhesives.
- Assist with shop organization, material handling, and maintaining a clean work environment.
- Learn basic wood and solid surface sanding techniques.
- Learn how to preform cabinet assembly, including joinery, gluing, clamping, and hardware prep.
- Learn how to read and interpret shop drawings for dimensions, assembly requirements, and fixture details.
- Learn how to extract key information from work packets, including material specifications and hardware requirements.
- Assist with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles.
- Strong commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards across all aspects of the job.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to solve problems and identify root causes.
- Learn how to conduct quality checks to ensure each piece meets project requirements.
- Willingness to learn and take guidance.
