About The Position

AECOM is hosting an exclusive, invitation-only hiring event in Boston on November 19-20, 2025 . This is a great opportunity to learn and connect with AECOM for career opportunities starting Spring/Summer 2026. The event kicks off on Wednesday evening with a networking mixer , where you can hear from AECOM staff about various projects, career paths, and the company itself. You'll also have the chance to meet other students, recent graduates, and AECOM professionals from across our business lines. On Thursday, interviews will take place at our Boston office. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about and connect with AECOM for early career opportunities. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Performs field inspections according to requirements of the MassDOT Bridge Inspection Manual and the FHWA National Bridge Inspection Standards. Must be able to work at heights, on ladders, on scaffolding and on aerial lifts, or other bridge inspection access equipment and must be able to climb. Must be able to work in confined spaces, work adjacent to live traffic, work in or around water and be able to work under adverse weather conditions. Must be able to work overnight as required, including work within the railroad right-of-way. Must have good written communication skills in order to document findings and prepare inspection reports. Duties may include bridge analyses and load rating calculations including 3D FEM modeling as needed. Preparation of Bridge rehabilitation plans and document development as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Motivated interest in Bridge inspection as a Team Member
  • Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) License
  • 1-2 cycles of internship experience in Bridge Inspection highly desired
  • Bridge Load Rating experience.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, CsiBridge, LEAP Concrete/Bridge, MathCAD, AASHTOware BrM/BrR and MDX is a plus.
