About the position

The Entry Level Autism Aide position at the Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD) involves working directly with children with autism to implement evidence-based behavior treatment plans. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and their families, providing both clinic and home-based therapy sessions. The position offers a permanent part-time opportunity with a focus on professional development and growth within the field of ABA therapy.

Responsibilities

• Work 1:1 with children with Autism to implement behavior treatment plans.
• Teach social, communication, and life skills to children with Autism.
• Collaborate with clinical professionals to enhance therapy effectiveness.
• Provide therapy in both clinic and home settings.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds while assisting patients.
• Negative tuberculosis test.
• English proficiency, both verbal and written, is required.
• US Work Authorization.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience as a Nanny, Babysitter, Preschool Teacher, or similar roles.
• Working towards or completed a degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, Sociology, or related fields.
