About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Entry Level Assembly (2nd shift). The hourly rate for this position is $19.26 + 5% shift differential per hour. Why work at Eaton? What you’ll do: Job Description: Follow all safety policies and procedures, wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and perform all tasks in compliance with Eaton quality standards and systems. Assemble small and large components to create sub‑assemblies or completed assemblies using hand tools, air tools, rivet guns, robots, and sub-assembly machines. Build products according to drawings, routings, and work instructions. Perform quality checks in alignment with inspection plans to ensure product accuracy and compliance. Replenish and manage parts inventory at assembly stations to maintain proper material flow. Read, interpret and retain catalog styles, drawings, and work instructions to determine correct assembly procedures, component types, and configuration. Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean, safe, and orderly condition and support 5S standards. Collaborate in a team‑based environment, cross-train across all assembly lines, and assist in training new employees as needed. Work overtime as required to meet production and business needs. Lift up to 40 pounds repeatedly and safely perform team lifts for heavier items. Stand and walk throughout the shift to perform assigned tasks. Operate assembly machinery and tools with a working knowledge of proper use and safety. Applicants should be comfortable completing repetitive tasks as part of daily responsibilities Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Minimum of six (6) months of hands‑on work experience in an assembly, technical, manufacturing, or service‑industry role that involves performing manual tasks or operating basic equipment/tools.
  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Must reside within a 50-mile radius of Cleveland, TN. No relocation benefits are available.
  • Active-Duty Military Service members are exempt from this geographical requirement.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future without company sponsorship.
  • Must not currently be on a written or final written warning.
  • Must have completed at least 6 months in their current role before becoming eligible to apply for another position (including the same role on a different shift), unless a business need requires an exception.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 12 months of experience in an assembly or hands on technical role using hand tools and/or power tools.
  • Experience in automotive repair, construction, carpentry, or similar mechanical/assembly environments will be strongly considered.
  • OR a minimum of six (6) months of previous manufacturing, military, or related technical experience.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to follow standardized work instructions with accuracy.
  • Proven ability to retain and apply information, including procedures, safety requirements, and sequencing of tasks.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment where quality, reliability, and consistency are critical.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
