About The Position

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Entry Level Architectural Designer. This position is located in the Columbus, Ohio office, which is a dynamic studio focusing on a large variety of project types, including higher education, cities, corporate commercial, logistical and federal projects. We are seeking a Designer with good technical, conceptual, visual, and communication skills to work in a highly collaborative and design-oriented studio.

Requirements

• BA/BS in Architecture + None or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

• Master's in architecture
• Strong conceptual design and schematic design skills
• Working knowledge of 3D modeling; Revit, Sketchup, and/or Rhino desired
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
• Desire to actively work toward architectural licensure
• LEED Accreditation
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in high-energy, collaborative team and project environments
• Provide design and documentation support on projects of various sizes, type and complexity
• Produce rapid visualization of design concepts and assist with building presentations to clients
• Developing iterative solutions for a variety of design working under supervision by senior design staff
• Adapts and modifies design features and operational methods to meet a variety of situations
• Coordinates design activities with other engineering disciplines
• Participate in design through all phases, from concept to construction administration.
