About The Position

The Entry Level Account Manager at Medical Diagnostic Laboratories (MDL) is responsible for maintaining and expanding a client base while serving as a liaison between management and customers. This role focuses on enhancing client relationships, educating clients about new testing options, and addressing any issues that arise. The position requires a self-motivated individual who can work closely with senior sales staff to develop client retention strategies and monitor client satisfaction.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of successful customer service experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer proficiency in MS Office, Excel, email, and internet functions.
• Knowledge of laboratory testing and competing products.
• Ability to travel within the coverage area and occasionally nationwide.

Nice To Haves

• Medical Assistant certification or Associate Degree, BA/BS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Grow client base revenues by presenting new test information and upselling existing clients.
• Establish positive long-term client relations.
• Educate and train clients, research problems, and coordinate solutions between the laboratory and client.
• Work closely with Senior Sales Executive and Regional Manager to identify client concerns and assist in the development and implementation of client retention strategies.
• Monitor, evaluate, and report level of client satisfaction and recommend appropriate corrective action as required.
• Maintain knowledge of competitors and their presence in assigned territory.
