About The Position
The Backstage & Automation Trainer conducts Entertainment Technical training programs based on specific and comprehensive Backstage & Automation discipline curriculum, under limited supervision. Determines training objectives in coordination with management. Writes/reviews training programs including tiered course curriculums, handouts, and tests, and designs laboratory style practical exercises. Lectures on safety, project planning, installation, preventative maintenance, and repairs of Automation Systems, theatrical sets, props, Flying apparatuses, stage flooring etc. In addition, the Automation & Backstage Trainer administers written and practical examinations and authors performance reports to evaluate and document the trainee's progress and performance during their tour in Carnival Studios.
