As a Senior Lighting and Effects Technician, you will enthusiastically represent SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment by displaying a positive attitude and maintaining a high level of energy and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job. You will support the Theatrical Maintenance team through assistance on the install, strike, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of lighting, special effects, and rigging for festivals, events, shows, and park needs unassisted. Additionally, you will conduct safety inspections for shows in the park, ensuring that all entertainment elements are safe and functional for our guests and staff. This role requires a strong understanding of theatrical lighting and special effects, as well as the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision. You will be responsible for assisting with the installation and maintenance of various lighting and special effects equipment, running temporary power for seasonal events, and programming or designing lighting as assigned. Your expertise will also be crucial in training and developing less experienced technicians, ensuring that safety and quality standards are upheld at all times.
