Requirements

• Ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance prior to start date.
• Associates degree in related field and 3 or more years’ relevant experience; or 5 or more years’ relevant experience.
• Must possess experience and demonstrate an understanding of Microsoft server installation, roles, active directory, storage, performance management, and maintenance.
• DoD 8570 IAT II Baseline Certification (Security+ CE or equivalent).
• CCNA or equivalent certification.
• ITIL Foundation certification within 60 days of start date.

• Experience working in DoD, Air Force, and local base environments.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and develop solutions with LAN/WAN protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP
• configure, monitor, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN protocols
• set up and maintain IP/MPLS backbone network
• install and configure WAN transport systems
• configure and troubleshoot QOS
• install and maintain network devices
• configure network services
• Collect and analyze networking metrics
• identify sub-standard network performance
• report on overall health of local and deployed networks
• analyze trends and recommend improvements
• Operate network intrusion devices and information assurance tools
• research, document, and resolve outages, trouble calls, virus outbreaks, and intrusions
• identify and evaluate operational impact of outages
• Prepare daily communication status reports
• publish Communication Task Orders (CTO) and Notice to Airman (NOTAM)
• develop and review technical documents (TTPs, CONOPS, engineering plans)
• Provide first-level technical support to deployed users
• coordinate with external agencies for outage resolution
• act as consultant to optimize WAN transport networks
• Develop standardized testing and cutover plans and establish testing and remote monitoring procedures
• Perform TDY travel within CONUS as required.
