Are you an experienced IT administrator with strong technical skills looking to transition into cybersecurity? If so, this role is for you! We are seeking an Enterprise Vulnerability Remediation Engineer to join our Cyber Security Operations team. This position is designed to help you move into cybersecurity while leveraging your existing IT expertise. In this role, you will learn to think like an attacker, understand the impact of vulnerabilities, and assess the risks they present to the business. You will be responsible for remediating vulnerabilities at scale, utilizing advanced methods and automation tools that go beyond common practices. Beyond vulnerabilities this position will be responsible for system hardening and services hardening. We are looking for someone who can think outside the box and devise unique solutions to challenging problems. The ideal candidate will have experience solving complex enterprise issues that could not be easily resolved.

Requirements

  • Technical Expertise: Strong background in systems administration (Windows, Windows Servers, Linux, MAC), and Active Directory management.
  • Creative Problem Solving: Proven ability to tackle challenging enterprise issues with innovative solutions.
  • Automation Skills: Proficiency with automation tools and scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
  • Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience: Proven experience in a large-scale enterprise environment with complex IT infrastructure

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), or similar but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Innovative Problem Solving: Develop creative solutions to remediate vulnerabilities across our enterprise environment using advanced methods and automation tools.
  • Automation and Scripting: Create and implement scripts and automation processes to streamline vulnerability remediation efforts.
  • System Hardening: Apply hardening techniques to various systems (Windows, Windows Servers, Linux, MAC) to reduce vulnerability exposure.
  • Active Directory Management: Implement security measures and remediate vulnerabilities within Active Directory environments.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with system owners and other IT teams to ensure vulnerabilities are addressed efficiently and effectively.
  • Continuous Learning: Gain an understanding of attacker methodologies and the impact of vulnerabilities on business operations.
