The Enterprise Systems Administrator is a hands-on technical team member responsible for the design, administration, and optimization of both our on-premises and cloud environments. We are transitioning to Microsoft 365 and Azure. This role will be pivotal in finalizing our cloud migration, supporting our hybrid work environment, and strategically decommissioning remaining on-premises systems. The ideal candidate has expertise in M365/Azure and a strong foundation in server management with proficiency in networking. You will be part of a small team collaborating but also acting as a technical escalation point and mentor for developing professionals. You’ll ensure the reliable operation of essential IT systems and services, including servers, networks, applications, and security across our entire enterprise environment. Works with IT vendors to maintain services supporting the corporate infrastructure. Collaborates with the IS Manager and business teams to develop and implement strategic system and support network solutions. Provides advanced technical support and training to company personnel and management, ensuring efficient resolution of complex technical issues and effective usage of IT resources.

  • Cloud Infrastructure Management (M365 & Azure)
  • Administer and secure the entire Microsoft 365 tenant, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Intune, and Entra ID.
  • Manage identity and access, including Entra ID Connect, Conditional Access policies, and MFA.
  • Design, deploy, and manage resources in Microsoft Azure (VMs, Storage, & Virtual Networking) ensuring performance and security.
  • Monitor cloud resource consumption, optimize costs, and ensure high availability.
  • Networking & Security
  • Support FortiGate firewalls (e.g., security policies, SSL-VPN, VLAN and network routing).
  • Support our network infrastructure on-premises or in the cloud (virtual networks, switches, access points, and enterprise wireless connectivity).
  • Manage and respond to alerts from our SentinelOne EDR solution.
  • Implement and enforce security best practices across all cloud and on-prem systems.
  • On-Prem & Hybrid Environment Management
  • Manage and support the remaining on-premises infrastructure, including Hyper-V hosts, Active Directory, and physical servers, with a clear goal of planned decommissioning.
  • Administer and maintain our IBM storage array, ensuring data integrity and availability during the transition.
  • System Administration
  • Managing data, identity, and access for enterprise systems, applications, and services.
  • Expertise in designing, testing, and executing rapid contingency and recovery plans for critical data and systems—whether on-prem, cloud, or SaaS—using a diverse toolkit of platform-native backups and comprehensive solutions like Veeam.
  • Monitoring and managing NinjaOne RMM.
  • Manages IT vendors and suppliers to ensure successful procurement, implementation, and maintenance of technology resources.
  • Resolves issues from enterprise customers and an IT support ticket system.
  • Leads IT training and documentation efforts.
  • Creates and updates system documentation and service records.
  • Manages printers and associated software.
  • Tracks inventory of IT assets.
  • Develops and maintains a knowledge base in both OneNote and ticketing tool.
  • Serves as a technical mentor, elevating the skills of IT staff through active coaching, training or knowledge sharing, and by example. Acts as a collaborative partner and expert-level escalation point for all Aiphone departments, translating business needs into effective technical solutions.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Windows, Microsoft 365, & Azure infrastructure services, and/or a bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
  • Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing, with the ability to convey complex data concepts in non-technical, easily understandable language. Exhibits strong interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in Azure and Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Strong command of role-based access control groups (RBAC) and access permissions.
  • Proficiency in enterprise network fundamentals and hardware, including TCP/IP, routing, and switching, with hands-on experience managing Ethernet, Wi-Fi, VLANs, WAN connectivity (VPN, SD-WAN), and Azure Virtual Networking.
  • Capability to research product information and navigate vendor support resources effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to balance multiple tasks, work consistently under pressure, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional and ethical conduct, upholding high standards in all interactions with colleagues, customers, and vendors.

  • Experience with AWS cloud platform is also desired.
  • Professional certifications such as MS-102, AZ-104. Network+, CCNA, Security+, SCCP, or other relevant certifications highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with security compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001, with experience implementing and documenting technical controls and providing evidence for audits a plus.
