POSITION SUMMARY The Enterprise Solutions Architect is a senior strategic technology leader responsible for developing, positioning, and executing transformative, enterprise-scale solutions for customers across the Federal Health agencies. This role integrates deep mission understanding with technical and enterprise architecture expertise to advance modernization initiatives in application services, secure cloud adoption, data analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital engineering. The Solutions Architect is a thought leader and trusted advisor for government customers. This role partners closely with growth, capture, and delivery organizations to define compelling and differentiated technical approaches to address mission-critical priorities. The role blends enterprise strategy, architecture design, and hands-on technical integration across cloud, AI/ML, data, analytics, and emerging technology domains while supporting the full solution lifecycle from strategy through implementation and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 10 -15 years of experience in federal technology solutioning and/or enterprise solution architecture supporting complex mission environments.
  • Proven success in leading large, complex solution efforts or captures in federal health domain.
  • Strong subject matter expertise across: Cloud and hybrid infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP and related environments). Data architecture and analytics pipelines. AI/ML and automation frameworks. Digital engineering and model-based design.
  • Deep experience in application modernization, enterprise cloud deployments, secure DevSecOps practices, and cross-domain solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop architectural artifacts (views, models, roadmaps, diagrams) and guide cross-organizational technical decisions.
  • Familiarity with DoDAF, TOGAF, NIST, Zero Trust, RMF, and other federal architecture and security frameworks, including networking environments and cybersecurity compliance (ICD 503, RMF).
  • Hands-on understanding of AI/ML tools, data engineering pipelines, and analytics frameworks supporting mission operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate mission objectives into actionable technical solutions and compelling value propositions.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field, or equivalent work experience is required

  • Ability to interface, inspire, and motivate at various levels of the organization and with client stakeholders.
  • Ability to convey complex technical, architectural, and strategic information to non-technical individuals.
  • Demonstrated experience communicating effectively across internal and external organizations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to brief technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Ability to work well in a matrixed team environment.

  • Experience supporting Federal Health agencies and multi-agency or mission partner environments.

  • Record of thought leadership in digital transformation, AI for Federal Health, mission analytics, or related areas (e.g., speaking engagements, white papers, published work).

Responsibilities

  • Lead solution strategy and development for major pursuits supporting Federal Health customers, focusing on mission enablement through advanced cloud, application, and data technologies.
  • Design end-to-end enterprise and solution architectures aligned to mission needs and federal technology and security frameworks (e.g., DoDAF, TOGAF, Zero Trust, FedRAMP, RMF, CMMC, etc.)
  • Drive digital transformation roadmaps that modernize legacy applications, migrate workloads to multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, C2S, GovCloud), and promote interoperability.
  • Shape and oversee technical architectures leveraging data analytics, automation, and AI/ML to enhance intelligence collection, operational insights, and predictive decision-making.
  • Evaluate and integrate existing and emerging capabilities and technologies (AI, advanced analytics, digital twins, model-based engineering, quantum, automation tools) into scalable, secure, and resilient mission solutions and architectures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineers, Solution Architects, Program Managers, Customers, Account Executives, and Executive Leadership) to ensure architectural intent supports implementation and mission outcomes.
  • Provide expert input to capture and proposal efforts through solution shaping, technical narratives, architectural artifacts, and win-theme development.
  • Lead internal solution and technical reviews to ensure solution integrity, technical accuracy, and alignment with cost, schedule, compliance, and performance objectives.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior agency leaders, providing thought leadership on emerging technologies, policy implications, and acquisition strategies.
  • Translate mission objectives into actionable technical solutions, architectural roadmaps, and compelling value propositions to customers, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Clearly articulate complex technical and architectural strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executives and senior government leaders.
  • Mentor and guide cross-functional teams of engineers, architects, and analysts in developing innovative, scalable, and secure mission solutions.
  • Maintain awareness of evolving Federal Health IT and mission initiatives to position Unissant offerings effectively across programs and agencies.
