About The Position

The Enterprise Security Analyst handles incoming and outgoing security requests in addition to receiving external calls as it relates to the shared systems and the Noridian Medicare Portal (NMP). This role involves receiving and responding to customer inquiries promptly and accurately, analyzing customer requests for completeness and accuracy, and researching the viability of requests. The analyst validates customer information prior to processing/releasing information and demonstrates quality by achieving Measure Monitor Enforce (MME) expectations. Responsibilities also include recording details of actions taken to resolve inquiries in a timely manner, updating internal systems with appropriate data via the MCPS/call request, and maintaining security profiles. The analyst submits MCPS requests as necessary and contacts the provider community to resolve issues, processes Medicare Claims Processing System (MCPS) requests, and determines if all necessary information is received to complete requests. Additional duties include conducting peer reviews, completing maintenance for new hires, transfers, and separations, and prioritizing work throughout the day while adapting to changes in workload. The analyst may also conduct annual access reviews across Noridian systems and complete logging and monitoring activities for inactivity of accounts. This position requires completing and finalizing team documentation via secondary review and volunteering to assist other team members when needed.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Security Management or Healthcare or closely related field OR combination of education and equivalent work experience.
  • 2 years' work experience in security or healthcare field.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills.
  • Multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
  • Experience in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, etc.).
  • Ability to maintain confidential information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of security principles.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
