About The Position

The Enterprise Risk Management Analyst at Coastal Credit Union is responsible for implementing and maintaining the organization's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework. This includes updating the risk appetite statement, capturing new and emerging risks in the master risk register, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to assess processes and controls. The role involves developing quarterly ERM reports for the Enterprise Risk Management Committee and ensuring that risk assessments accurately reflect the credit union's residual risks.

Requirements

  • Five years' experience in Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) with a focus on quantitative and data analytics.
  • Experience in building and conducting risk assessments as part of an ERM program.
  • Three years' experience in drafting executive-level reports and interpreting laws and regulations affecting financial institutions.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or mathematics preferred.
  • Current certification or actively pursuing a certification in Enterprise Risk Management preferred.
  • Regulatory compliance certifications (CRCM, NCCO, CUCE) are preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with pivot tables and regression analyses.
  • Familiarity with stress testing methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business units to develop risk registers and ensure timely assessment of new and emerging risks.
  • Update and provide periodic reports on the status of Coastal's ERM program and enterprise-wide risk assessments.
  • Analyze risk and control mitigants of new corporate projects with the Project Office and stakeholders.
  • Make recommendations regarding Coastal's Risk Appetite Statement and prepare updates for review.
  • Conduct ad hoc risk assessments and compile quarterly updates on the Credit Union's highest residual risks.
  • Review risk policies annually and propose changes to ensure consistency across the organization.
