About The Position

Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Enterprise Risk Management Analyst to join our Enterprise Risk Management team. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of risk management frameworks, and the ability to collaborate across departments to promote a culture of risk awareness and resilience.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in enterprise risk management, internal audit, or compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proficiency in risk management software and data analysis tools.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office; including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be a self-driven, team player.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or similar areas of study from an accredited college or university.
  • A high school diploma combined with strong industry experience and/or candidates currently enrolled in a senior year of a bachelor’s degree program will be considered.
  • Relevant certifications are preferred, such as CRISC, CRM, CIA or equivalent, but are not required.
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry regulations and standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and assess enterprise-level risks across business units.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and controls.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of risk management processes.
  • Prepare risk assessments and present findings to senior leadership and the board.
  • Maintain the enterprise risk register and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to integrate risk management into strategic planning.
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks.
  • Support internal audits and compliance reviews as needed.
