The Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Analyst I position at Sam Houston State University (SHSU) is a vital role within the Enterprise Solutions department of the Information Technology division. This position is designed to assist the ERP Team by providing essential programming, reporting, integration, and analytical support services for the campus ERP system, which includes Ellucian Banner technologies and other third-party applications. The role is security-sensitive, adhering to the provisions of the Texas Education Code §51.215, which allows the employer to obtain criminal history record information. The position is classified as non-exempt and falls under the technical/para-professional occupational category. As an ERP Analyst I, the individual will be responsible for designing and implementing minor system changes or integrations using various programming languages such as Java, .Net, PHP, SQL, PL/SQL, XML, and web scripting. The analyst will assist in creating technical specifications from functional requirements and will customize delivered reports while creating enterprise reports using business intelligence tools. Collaboration with data owners and staff from the Division of Strategic Enrollment and Innovation is crucial, particularly regarding system upgrades and report enhancements. The analyst will also partner with users to test programs and reports, ensuring they function efficiently and securely. The position requires a demonstrated ability to establish congenial work relationships and communicate effectively within the department. Attention to detail is paramount, as errors can have serious implications. The role allows for up to 100% remote work during off-peak periods, as determined by the supervisor, providing flexibility in the work environment.
