About The Position

Position location is open to office locations within Truist's footprint. If located in a Truist hub city location, the work style will be: In Office (5 days/week). Enterprise Scenario Planning and Testing Truist's Enterprise Incident Management (EIM) organization is seeking an experienced operational resilience professional to support the development of a comprehensive Enterprise Scenario Library covering operational disruptions, cyber incidents, natural disasters, third-party incidents, and emerging threats. - Champion the sourcing and curation of severe-but-plausible business interruption scenarios from internal and external losses, industry data, regulatory advisories, and strategic foresight. - Drive scenario analysis and testing efforts to assess impact to critical business services, estimate risk, evaluate likelihood, and quantify potential disruption magnitude. - Develop executive-level risk reporting and dashboarding to provide leadership with a clear view of exposure, scenario coverage, and resilience maturity. Enterprise Resilience Officer II is a subject matter expert responsible for the development, implementation, socialization and execution of Business Continuity (BC) and Disaster Recovery (DR) processes in support of policy, standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements. This individual is a thought leader that will research, evaluate and recommend solutions for the Enterprise Resilience program and to implement forward-looking systems and processes that support program maturation. This position exercises responsibility through direct action, delegation and influence at the senior management level. Performs work and tasks focused on business continuity and disaster recovery planning/testing, enterprise response (incident/crisis) management, governance/quality control/third party continuity, and/or business intelligence & tools. Supports enterprise and business unit compliance with all federal regulations (FFIEC) for BC/DR related planning, testing and risk mitigation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 15 years of banking or related management experience.
  • Possess and demonstrate expert Enterprise Resilience knowledge, leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for business analysis, process redesign and project management.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills and extensive experience designing, developing, implementing and executing BC/DR processes.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of technology and business process solutions in the financial services industry.
  • Progressive management experience in a matrixed organization. Must be able to lead and enforce enterprise policies.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills demonstrating the ability to interact with all levels of management effectively.
  • Adept with Microsoft Office products.

Nice To Haves

  • Master of Business Administration, Risk Management, or relevant Master's degree
  • Professional accreditation in business continuity/disaster recovery industry, such as Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or Master Business Continuity Professional (MBCP)
  • Graduate of Leadership Development Program, Banking School, or equivalent industry training program
  • Experience working for or with (significant interactions) regulatory agencies (FRB, OCC, FDIC)
  • Experience in establishing new Corporate Enterprise Resilience risk programs or initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert who will identify, analyze, develop and implement process improvements to mitigate risk within and/or across multiple lines of business.
  • Support and maintain Enterprise Resilience program policy and governance structure & routines in alignment with enterprise guidance.
  • Manage key initiatives within the Enterprise Resilience Program to ensure resiliency and recoverability during an event.
  • Drive dialogue, debate, and escalation based on metrics, emerging risks / trends, and thematic analysis of issues. Interpreting regulatory requirements and their applicability to existing and proposed metrics.
  • Maintain good working relationships with business and technology units and act as a liaison to ensure program execution.
  • Support and drive the development of operational / technology risk management and compliance communications to senior management and committees/working groups.
  • Evaluate and provide input for business and technology unit recovery and resiliency strategies to ensure business continuity and disaster recovery risk reduction in alignment with enterprise risk appetite.
  • Plan, organize and coordinate the work to meet enterprise goals while focusing on efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay abreast of emerging issues related to Risk Management including third party, business continuity, disaster recovery and other relevant disciplines and incorporate new learning into work processes.
  • Assist Enterprise Resilience leadership team and business partners to prepare for and respond to internal audit requests and/or external regulatory examinations.
