Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare (MLH) is seeking an Enterprise Platforms Sys Admin III to make an impact on a meaningful scale, embracing the Power of One. This role provides advanced technical support and knowledge for the installation, patching, configuration, and updates of enterprise applications, Windows PC and Server Operating systems and hardware, non-Windows Operating systems and hardware, virtualization, databases, and other technologies. The Sys Admin III will research, analyze, and resolve problems effectively to meet established performance metrics, and provide support and implementation services for IT projects. Key responsibilities include maintaining documented procedures (e.g., Disaster Recovery) for Windows Infrastructure, collaborating with team members, software vendors, and other technical staff to develop, design, implement, and continuously improve systems. The position involves working closely with team members and other technical resources to analyze and maintain applications and provide network administrative functions, coordinating and implementing projects and tasks, and exercising limited independent judgment to resolve problems. Requirements

  • Associates Degree Computer sciences
  • 5-7 years of experience with Server and storage hardware
  • Exhibits strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of supporting a large number of devices in a complex and diverse environment.
  • Ability to work closely with other technical resources to analyze, maintains, and administers enterprise systems and solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully in the highly specialized field of systems software and to master the understanding of complex computer hardware and software.
  • Full technical knowledge of all phases of software analysis and programs.
  • Advanced ability to take initiative and exercise independent judgment occasionally to resolve problems.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in project planning, analysis, kick off and implementation.
  • Assists in developing and maintaining proper departmental documentation.
  • Researches, configures, supports, and implements best practices for securing the MLH technology systems.
