About the Team At Workday, the Enterprise Planning & Performance team acts as the connective tissue linking all functions to work towards a shared set of priorities. We own the cycle of planning, executing, and analyzing company progress, translating high-level strategy into tangible actions, measurable results, and driving accountability. About the Role The MBA Intern for Enterprise Planning will join a critical and visible team that is the central point of engagement for Workday's strategic and operational planning stakeholder communities. This role will learn and contribute to how the E2E annual planning cycle for a large, Fortune 500 tech company is scaled. Over the 12-week engagement, you will dive deep into processes, help design and push forward planning work, and engage with cross-functional partners to ensure timely, two-way communication of key information. As opposed to owning a standalone project, you will become a key player on the Enterprise Planning team and fully participate in and own key components of what the team drives together. Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a full time MBA Program with an anticipated graduation date no earlier than December 2026
  • You can commit to a full-time internship program for 12-weeks during the summer of 2026 and will return to your MBA program at the conclusion of the internship
  • 3+ years of experience in a strategic or operational role, such as business planning, management consulting, corporate strategy, business operations, or product operations.
  • 3+ years in business acumen and strategic thinking. You can quickly grasp organizational challenges, connect the dots between disparate issues, and move seamlessly from high-level strategy to operational detail.
  • Have basic knowledge of the Technology industry and general business knowledge
  • Prior internship, coursework, or relevant project experience
  • Ability to lead through ambiguity. You are a self-starter who can independently solve conceptual problems, rally cross-functional teams, and deliver results in a dynamic and challenging environment.
  • Exceptional collaborative and interpersonal skills. You build strong relationships and have a proven ability to lead complex strategic initiatives by influencing teams and executives without direct authority.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or tech field a plus.
  • Experience with SaaS and enterprise software products or services a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Key Modules of the Annual Planning Cycle Partner with senior team members to design, document, and execute core components of the annual strategic planning process and the resulting annual operating plan.
  • Analyze and Recommend Planning Process Improvements Evaluate critical planning and initiative intake processes to proactively identify roadblocks , analyze ambiguities , and recommend actionable improvements to drive operational efficiency.
  • Develop Strategic Stakeholder Engagement Materials Apply your strategic communication skills to help design and build stakeholder communication plans , internal documentation hubs , and AOP cascade materials that ensure alignment across the enterprise.
  • Develop CoE Frameworks and Artifacts Leverage your prior operational experience to help the EPP Center of Excellence design, build, and document best-practice standards, tools, and playbooks for OKRs.
  • Define Business Requirements for Planning Infrastructure Analyze stakeholder needs to help define and document the business requirements for the infrastructure that supports the end-to-end planning ecosystem.
