The New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) manages the efficient flow of electricity on more than 11,000 circuit-miles of high-voltage transmission lines, dispatching power from hundreds of generating units across the state. The New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) applies cutting-edge technology to operating a reliable electricity system, managing competitive markets for wholesale electricity, and planning for the Empire State's energy future. The NYISO’s Information Technology department invites applications for a full-time Enterprise Operations Center Analyst to join our Information Technology Team. The Enterprise Operations Center Analyst proactively monitors NYISO’s IT infrastructure and services at multiple locations from a 24x7x365 Enterprise Operation Center (EOC). Utilizing a variety of enterprise monitoring tools and resources, the Enterprise Operations Center Analyst adheres to best practices and procedures to identify, log, prioritize, and respond to system events, incidents, and problems, and ensure IT support and system availability for NYISO’s power systems, markets and business application services. This includes coordinating and executing failover and disaster recovery plans to minimize service disruptions and adhering to applicable policies and procedures to meet SOC1 and NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) requirements. The Enterprise Operations Center Analyst also participates in cyber security event and incident identification and coordination efforts and provides support for NYISO’s Cyber Security Incident Response Plan and Teams (CSIRP/CSIRT) in line with cyber security incident management processes and procedures.
