Position Overview: Are you passionate about operational risk management and ready to make an impact in the mortgage finance industry? We are seeking a Lead to join the Enterprise Business Risk and Control Office (EBRCO). In this role, you will support the Director in implementing and maintaining consistent operational risk practices across divisions, working closely with both first and second line teams to strengthen risk identification, assessment, monitoring, and governance. Our Impact: The EBRCO team drives the consistent application of operational risk practices across the enterprise, enhancing risk transparency and governance. We collaborate with first line risk/control teams and second line governance functions to ensure alignment with the Enterprise Risk Framework, policies, and regulatory expectations. Your Impact: Support the Director in implementing operational risk practices, including executing material non-financial risk assessments, produce the Enterprise non-financial risk profile. Partner with first line risk and control teams to embed risk practices, promote transparency, and facilitate timely risk identification and mitigation. Develop and maintain operational risk templates, job aids, and documentation to drive consistency across divisions. Assist in RCSA quality reviews and conduct thematic risk assessments to identify emerging risks or control weaknesses. Coordinate with Enterprise Risk Management (second line) to align risk methodologies and reporting standards. Support risk aggregation reporting, trend analysis, and escalation of material issues or emerging risks to governance forums. Collaborate on the design and enhancement of risk tools and technology solutions. Contribute to the development of metrics, templates, and governance routines to standardize reporting practices. Participate in risk culture initiatives, training, and communications to enhance awareness and accountability. Drive continuous improvement and simplification of risk practices, tools, and governance routines.
