About The Position

We're looking for an Enterprise Lead Data Modeler to guide the design and governance of our unified enterprise data model. In this senior role, you'll act as the primary subject matter expert (SME) in the Mortgage Industry Standards Maintenance Organization (MISMO). You'll be instrumental in shaping our data architecture, ensuring it serves as the single source of truth for critical data across the company, encompassing mortgage, servicing, sales, and workflow data. This is a unique opportunity to lead the core data foundation for our enterprise data platform. The Enterprise Lead Data Modeler will: Data Modeling & Design Leadership: Lead the end-to-end design and extension of our MISMO-compliant JSON schemas. Define new data structures, relationships, and attributes to serve as the canonical representation of data across the organization. You'll guide the translation of these nested schemas into an optimal relational data model. Architectural Guidance: Provide architectural leadership on data modeling best practices. Ensure the unified data model supports data exchange between systems and establishes clear data contracts, while also optimizing data for analytics consumption. Your work will maintain data integrity and scalability across all business domains, including mortgage origination, loan servicing, sales, and marketing. Data Model Management: Manage the technical implementation of the data model, including the JSON schema definitions and automated documentation built around the schemas. Define and implement systems that manage versioning and compatibility between different schema versions. MISMO & Canonical Expertise: Act as the organization's primary SME for MISMO standards. You'll guide the team on best practices for incorporating MISMO, ensuring our model remains the authoritative source of truth for mortgage-related data, while also integrating other critical business domains. Collaboration & Governance: Partner with data engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to align the data model with strategic business goals. You'll work closely with data governance teams to enforce standards, maintain data quality, and ensure the model remains the authoritative enterprise-wide standard. Documentation & Mentorship: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for the data model, including data dictionaries and schema definitions. You'll also mentor other data professionals, fostering a strong data-driven culture.
