This position will serve primarily as liaison to multiple departments, providing guidance on GIS usage and technology projects. It is also responsible for the development of GIS standards documentation, business process analysis, and automation development. It will be responsible for the management of highly complex projects, especially those involving mapping, demographics, process automation, and systems integration. The incumbent will establish and manage the procedures, budget and supply expenditures, and work schedules for numerous planning, analysis, and mapping projects. May manage staff and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) consultants.
