Job Description : Leads & delivers the analytical work efforts for a dedicated business area or function and may utilize various resources across Analytical Teams; usually within a specific line of business or business discipline. Leverages multiple databases to acquire customer and performance data and demonstrates deep subject matter expertise in area of focus. Delivers individually or with the help of peers and others insightful data to be used in driving complex business decisions or processes. Identifies opportunities for collaboration across the Analytics organization to effectively deliver against priorities. Communicates with Senior managers and Analytics executives to understand business problems to be analyzed and deliver the appropriate summary and data required. Communicates with Business Leaders to identify, analyze, and propose solutions to a variety of business problems using data driven insights. May be required to interact more independently and own a project or business area end-end. Ability to use data tools and techniques to find and deliver data from various sources of record. Proven communications skills in describing complex data to inform strategic insights and decisions. The Data Product Automation Lead will be responsible for leading and delivering on a comprehensive automation strategy for our Enterprise Data Products being delivered as part of a refresh of our data ecosystem. In this role, you will be tasked with enabling a vision of self-service analytics focused on AI and BI consumption supported by timely access to required data. You will be expected to interact with leaders from across the enterprise in roles focus on engineering, architecture, analytics, reporting, and modeling.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in automation frameworks and tools (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere) and scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
  • Strong experience with ETL processes and data pipeline development
  • Solid understanding of SQL, relational databases, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Ability to design and manage API integrations for automated data exchange.
  • Knowledge of financial regulatory compliance (e.g., SOX, GDPR) as it relates to data automation.
  • Expertise in process optimization and identifying automation opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of security best practices and access control in automated workflows.
  • Ability to monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain automated processes for reliability.
  • Excellent communication skills to translate technical automation concepts into business language.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with cloud-based automation in AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML integration into automation workflows.
  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks and metadata management.
  • Advanced scripting skills in multiple languages (e.g., Java, .NET).
  • Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines for automation deployment.
  • Skills in change management to drive adoption of automation initiatives.
  • Capability to measure and report ROI and efficiency gains from automation.

Responsibilities

  • Own automation strategy for Starburst data products, including orchestration, scheduling, and monitoring of data pipelines.
  • Drive self-service capabilities for business users and data scientists through automated provisioning and governance of data products.
  • Optimize performance and scalability of federated queries across heterogeneous sources using Starburst’s distributed SQL engine.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and architects to implement automation frameworks that reduce manual intervention and accelerate delivery.
  • This position may also have responsibilities for managing associates.
