About The Position

As a Cyber Education and Awareness Intern, you will play a key role in helping to elevate the cybersecurity posture of the Booz Allen workforce. In this position, you’ll gain hands-on experience by analyzing complex cyber threats targeting Booz Allen, its clients, and its employees, and transforming that analysis into clear, actionable best practices that empower users to stay secure in today’s digital landscape. Through contributing to impactful initiatives—such as phishing simulations, curriculum development, and organization-wide awareness campaigns—you’ll build a practical foundation in cybersecurity risk management. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of productivity tools, such as PowerPoint
  • Ability to display a willingness to learn new platforms, such as SharePoint, Zen Guide, Workday, or PowerBI
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to tailor messages to specific audiences
  • Ability to display an interest in cybersecurity fundamentals and user education
  • Scheduled to obtain Bachelor’s degree by Summer 2027

Nice To Haves

  • Possession of strong written communication and editing skills
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Communications preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop a Strong Foundation in Enterprise Cybersecurity (ECS). Gain foundational knowledge of ECS to better understand the mission, team organization, principles, compliance requirements, and risk management practices.
  • Apply Knowledge to real world projects. Contribute to ongoing initiatives such as phishing campaigns, training curriculum development, and mandatory training deployments, and education and awareness communications.
  • Enhance communication and collaboration. Participate in team meetings, contribute to educational material, and assist in editing and drafting communications for targeted user groups.
  • Assist in content creation. Draft podcast episode topics, develop cyber news stories and tipper posts, and maintain an ongoing FAQ list for risk mitigation strategies geared toward high-risk groups.

  • Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.
  • The projected compensation range for this position is $53,000.00 to $108,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
