The Enterprise Configuration Administrator for the Integration Services Office is responsible for maintaining the endpoint configuration management environment, creating and deploying software packages, and providing tier 2 support for district technical staff. This role involves creating custom systems management reports, evaluating and installing hot-fixes and patches, and ensuring a secure systems infrastructure. The position contributes to a strong and empowering culture of Trust, Relationships, Respect, Empowerment, and Communication within the OneFDOT team.

  • Maintain and support the endpoint configuration management environment within the department’s computing infrastructure.
  • Create, test, and deploy software and driver packages in support of department initiatives.
  • Create custom systems management reports for the Office of Information Technology (OIT) as needed.
  • Provide statewide tier 2 support for district technical staff.
  • Evaluate, promote, test, and install hot-fix and patch deployment as per documented OIT processes.
  • Maintain a secure environment and systems infrastructure in accordance with all applicable policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Create custom scripting in support of endpoint configuration management.
  • Configure and run routine maintenance processes.
  • Lend technical expertise to the troubleshooting of enterprise systems performance and security.
  • Attend meetings as subject matter expert related to the systems management environment and related projects.
  • Conduct research and make recommendations regarding software and/or hardware changes.
  • Participate on statewide teams to provide feedback as configuration and patch management subject matter expert.
  • Document assigned systems as per OIT standard documentation processes.
  • Generate and maintain technical documentation as assigned.
  • Monitor and update the status of Service Desk calls to ensure compliance with established guidelines.
  • Six years of experience in computer systems analysis, computer endpoint support, computer programming or in planning or designing distributed computer systems.
  • Post secondary education can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
  • Ability to create new software packages/deployments in Microsoft endpoint configuration manager.
  • Ability to create custom scripts using PowerShell, python or other current scripting languages.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Ability to plan, organize and execute complex technical projects.
  • Ability to explain complex technical problems to non-technical staff.
