About The Position

Description Job Description Provides first level, on-site and remote Network Operations support including diagnosing, configuring and documenting assigned problems in highly available health care environment for assigned site(s). Responds to communication/network issues affecting health system applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience, required.
• Participation in an on-call rotation is required.
• Ability to work evenings for network changes and maintenance.
• Occasional weekend availability may be necessary.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Cisco wireless technologies is a plus.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, Palo Alto, Google Cloud) are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Performs first level diagnostic on-site and remote support for network and communication problems and responds to issues affecting health system applications.
• Configures network and communications devices, including but not limited to routers, switches, loadbalancers, and communication servers.
• Racks and stacks all communication equipment and performs testing and tracing of network cables.
• Maintains accurate system documentation.
• Works with service providers as it relates to all network and communication applications.
• Operates under general guidance and work assignments are varied and require interpretation and independent decisions on course of action.
• Performs related duties as required.
