Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in software engineering focused on systems or platform development in enterprise environments.
  • 6+ years of experience using one or more system-level programming languages (for example, C++, Rust, Go, Java or similar object-oriented languages) to build production services or components.
  • 6+ years of experience working with network protocols (for example, HTTP/S, TLS, proxies) and authentication and authorization flows in the context of enterprise security or access-control systems.
  • 4+ years of experience integrating with endpoint security or device management solutions and with APIs or software development kits (SDKs) from security or infrastructure platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to debug and resolve complex issues across distributed systems, including browser runtime, operating systems, and network and identity layers.
  • Strong skills in secure coding practices, code reviews, and use of tooling (for example, debuggers, profilers, and observability platforms) to improve quality and reliability.
  • Bachelor’s degree or degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working on browser-based products or Chromium-based architecture, including extensions, embedded frameworks, or custom browser components.
  • Background in endpoint security, application security, or network security, with familiarity using Zero Trust or identity-aware access models.
  • Experience with Windows and/or macOS at the system integration level, including low-level hooks or security integrations.
  • Experience operating software in highly regulated environments with compliance and audit requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise browser features and services that support secure, policy-driven user experiences.
  • Build integrations between the browser and endpoint security and device management platforms, network security solutions, and identity and access management systems.
  • Implement browser-level security controls, including session isolation, access enforcement, authentication and authorization workflows, and data-protection policy enforcement.
  • Develop services and components that collect and act on device posture and endpoint signals, user identity, and access context to support adaptive security decisions.
  • Write clean, secure, and highly maintainable production code for browser runtimes, operating system integrations, and backend services.
  • Troubleshoot and debug complex issues across browser runtime, operating system integrations, and network and identity layers to restore service quickly and prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with product managers, security architects, and platform engineers to deliver features end-to-end, participate in design reviews, and contribute to performance, reliability, and scalability improvements.
  • Maintain clear documentation for implementation details, application programming interfaces (APIs), and integrations to support ongoing operations and future enhancements.
