About The Position

CSC is looking for an Enterprise Architecture Lead, a strategic and hands-on leadership role responsible for shaping, governing, and evolving the enterprise architecture, with a strong emphasis on delivering scalable, secure, and resilient hybrid-cloud infrastructure solutions, to align with business goals and technology transformation. This role leads a team of architects across domains (e.g., solution, security, data, infrastructure, business and applications) and partners with business and technology leaders to ensure that architecture is a catalyst for innovation, scalability, and measurable value delivery. ET provides global platforms and infrastructure to business-unit oriented digital product teams. ET is embarking on a transformation to enable a full self-service hybrid cloud. We are enabling infrastructure-as-code infrastructure platforms and self-service Iaas/PaaS-like products. We are making a significant investment in new and refactored cloud-ready modern applications.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in enterprise architecture, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed, logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience across the full spectrum of architecture domains.
  • Demonstrated experience in business architecture, including capability modeling, value stream mapping, and strategic planning.
  • Experience leading application architecture initiatives, including legacy modernization, SaaS adoption, and microservices design.
  • Proven track record of leading architectural initiatives and driving organizational change.
  • Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale cloud and hybrid-cloud infrastructure solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, VMware).
  • Deep understanding of cloud architecture principles, including multi-cloud, hybrid-cloud, and edge computing models.
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible), CI/CD pipelines, and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
  • Experience establishing cloud governance, cost optimization, and operational monitoring frameworks.
  • Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, with ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to see the big picture and align architectural decisions with long-term business objectives.
  • Excellent analytical, planning, organizational and technical skills, with a focus on delivering practical and innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve the enterprise architecture vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Partner with Strategy, Engineering, and Product teams to translate business goals into architectural direction and outcomes.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, providing insights on technology trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Partner with business leaders to translate strategic goals into enterprise capability maps and transformation roadmaps.
  • Facilitate enterprise-wide architecture planning sessions to align business, application, and technology strategies.
  • Define and evolve business capability models and value streams in partnership with business stakeholders.
  • Align application portfolios with business capabilities, identifying opportunities for consolidation, modernization, or innovation.
  • Lead the development of application reference architectures and patterns that support agility, scalability, and reuse.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, product managers, and process owners to ensure architecture supports business process optimization and digital transformation.
  • Drive alignment between business strategy and IT investments through capability-based planning and road mapping.
  • Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-wide cloud and hybrid-cloud strategies, ensuring alignment with business and technical objectives.
  • Drive adoption of cloud-native and hybrid-cloud infrastructure patterns, including containerization, orchestration, and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Define cloud governance models, landing zones, and security architectures across public and private cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with platform engineering and DevOps teams to deliver scalable, resilient, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure.
  • Evaluate and select cloud service providers, tools, and platforms based on architectural fit, performance, and risk.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and operational standards in cloud deployments.
  • Lead architecture governance forums, design reviews, and capability assessments to ensure alignment and compliance.
  • Establish and maintain architecture standards, reference models, and guardrails across domains.
  • Drive adoption of architecture tools (e.g., ABACUS) and ensure architecture documentation is current and actionable.
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of architects across multiple geographies and domains.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and architectural excellence.
  • Develop and manage career paths, training programs, and communities of practice for architects, engineers, and product teams.
  • Define and manage by metrics—translating business goals into measurable outcomes, using dashboards, OKRs, and KPIs to track performance and guide continuous improvement.
  • Embed architects within delivery teams to guide solution design, ensure alignment to target architecture, and support execution.
  • Collaborate with technical leaders and project owners to define architecture milestones, dependencies, and value realization.
  • Support procurement and vendor assessments with architectural input and risk evaluation.
  • Lead complex, multi-regional initiatives with clear accountability for delivering scope, quality, timeline, and budget.
  • Guide application rationalization and modernization efforts, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture principles.
  • Support business case development for major initiatives by providing architectural insights and impact assessments.
  • Monitor emerging technologies and industry trends to inform strategic planning and innovation.
  • Promote architectural thinking across the organization through coaching, workshops, and enablement.
  • Drive continuous improvement in architectural practices, tools, and engagement models.
