In this role, you will: Partner with executive leadership to align enterprise architecture strategy with business and transformation objectives. Translate enterprise and business strategies into future-state architecture visions and phased transformation roadmaps. Lead architectural strategy for large-scale transformation initiatives including digital transformation, data modernization, ERP/CRM programs, cloud migration, and operating model change. Define and govern enterprise architecture principles, standards, and reference architectures to support strategic outcomes. Drive strategy-to-execution alignment by ensuring initiatives, programs, and investments map to target-state architectures. Collaborate closely with Business Architects, Program Leadership, Product, and Change Management teams to ensure cohesive transformation delivery. Provide architectural leadership and decision support during prioritization, funding, and portfolio planning cycles. Establish architecture governance models that balance speed, innovation, and regulatory compliance. Guide solution architects and delivery teams to ensure consistency with enterprise standards and transformation goals. Assess current-state architecture maturity, technical debt, and transformation risks; define mitigation strategies. Evaluate emerging technologies and platforms to enable future capabilities while maintaining compliance. Ensure all architectures meet FDA, EMA, GxP, HIPAA, data privacy, and internal quality requirements. Support M&A and divestiture efforts by defining integration and separation architecture strategies. Communicate architectural strategy and transformation impacts to executive and senior leadership audiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, technology strategy, or large-scale transformation roles.
  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-wide strategy and transformation initiatives.
  • Strong expertise in defining target-state architectures, transition states, and multi-year transformation roadmaps.
  • Proven ability to connect business strategy with technology execution.
  • Experience working with executive stakeholders and influencing enterprise-level decision-making.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or similar. Cloud architecture experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Familiarity with life sciences platforms (Veeva, SAP, Salesforce Health Cloud, Oracle).
  • Experience with data platforms, analytics, and AI/ML in regulated environments.
  • Prior consulting experience in life sciences or healthcare.
  • Must be willing to go to Deerfield for a few days monthly.
