The Enterprise Architect serves as the company’s senior technical authority responsible for guiding enterprise architecture standards, integration patterns, and technology governance across the organization. This role ensures that new solutions align with enterprise architecture principles, approved technology standards, and long-term platform strategy. The role also plays a key operational role in architecture governance, including facilitating architecture review boards, managing technology intake processes, and maintaining enterprise technology standards. In addition, the Enterprise Architect supports ongoing software portfolio assessment and rationalization, helping reduce platform complexity and guide modernization decisions. While domain-specific architects (such as AI Architects or Data Architects) focus on specialized technology and solution capabilities, the Enterprise Architect ensures these architectures align with the overall enterprise technology landscape including 3rd party systems & SaaS platforms, governance framework, and platform strategy. By providing architectural guidance, maintaining governance discipline, and supporting technology portfolio optimization, this role helps ensure that technology investments are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise priorities.
