The Enterprise Architect Principal position involves providing NPES and NNCCRS support to the DISA Joint Staff Support Center (JSSC) and Joint Staff J36 Deputy Director Nuclear and Homeland Defense Operations (DDNHDO) Nuclear Operations Division (NOD). The role encompasses day-to-day operations, exercise, and crisis phases of Nuclear Command and Control (NC2) operations.

  • Respond to requests for Operations Plan (OPLAN) 80XX and NPES database analysis.
  • Create Oracle SQL queries to satisfy ad hoc tasking.
  • Utilize NPES applications and retrieval tools for analytical requirements.
  • Model and analyze effects of nuclear detonations using Integrated Weapons of Mass Destruction (IWMDT).
  • Establish and perform quality assurance practices for NPES data.
  • Apply daily database updates and review system message queues.
  • Coordinate system downtime for software and database updates.
  • Provide expert technical advice for NPES operational hardware and software.
  • Support preparation, execution, assessment, and post-exercise analysis for NPES-related events.
  • Develop and maintain training materials for NMCC NPES user's course.
  • Participate in bi-annual NPES software release testing.
  • Monitor NPES and NNCCRS for anomalies and troubleshoot issues.
  • Represent customer as NPES Subject Matter Expert (SME) at meetings and conferences.
  • At least five (5) years of demonstrated relevant experience in nuclear command and control processes and procedures.
  • Familiarity with OPLAN 80XX, Emergency Action Procedures of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (EAP-CJCS), and NEREP.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Previous experience with NPES operations utilizing NPES applications.
  • Experience in developing and conducting user training.
  • Experience in exercise and assessment support.
  • Experience in participating in software/system testing and updates.
