This role acts as the critical link between business strategy and technology execution for the entire portfolio. It operates with broad autonomy and complexity under the guidance of senior team members, influencing executive decisions, shaping strategic roadmaps, and leading initiatives that span platforms and technologies. Designs and develops IT architecture strategy, standards and roadmap while creating Enterprise architecture delivery (integrated process, applications, data and technology) in alignment with Enterprise architecture vision and direction. Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in Enterprise Architecture or related field. Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. (Internal position title: Enterprise Architect)Architecture Experience Strong knowledge of data mesh architecture and data product design (e.g., decentralized data ownership, clear data contracts). Experience in creating strategy, Vision, Roadmap, reference Arch and patterns for a business/technical capability. Expertise in event-driven architecture (EDA) principles and patterns. Knowledge of microservices and Domain-Driven Design (DDD). Experience in developing Data Architecture guidelines. Gain alignment on solutions and ability to influence others with data points. Strong understanding of security in distributed systems. Expertise in designing scalable, decoupled systems. Data and Analytics Technology Experience Hands-on experience in building data assets on Snowflake, Databricks, etc. Proficiency in Cloud Infrastructure such as AWS (Athena, EMR, Glue), Azure (Azure Data Fabric) and GCP (BigQuery). Proficiency in data streaming technologies (e.g.,Apache Kafka / Flink or AWS Kinesis). Proficiency in message brokers (e.g., IBM MQ,RabbitMQ, AWS SNS/SQS). Knowledge of API design and management (e.g., REST, GraphQL). Familiarity with observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK stack). Skills in reactive systems and programming methods (e.g., Spring WebFlux, Akka). Understand event mesh, pub/sub architectures, event sourcing, CQRS, and CDC (Change Data Capture) pipelines. Domain Experience Strong functional knowledge and business processes. Strong understanding of Insurance (or any industry) domains such as UW (Policy), Claims processing, Services Operations, etc. Knowledge on legal and compliance regulations specific to Insurance (PLUS). Experience in building Data Products for functional domains (ex, Policy, Quote, Claims in Insurance domain). Experienced in automating business process using AI. Experience Requirements Minimum ten years experience across architecture disciplines with significant enterprise architecture leadership experience required. Education Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors degree preferred. Masters degree preferred. Architect or senior-level industry certifications required upon hire. Second architect or senior-level industry certification required within 12 months of hire. TOGAF Certified EA Architect preferred. Additional Qualifications Communication & Story Telling.
