About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to design, guide, and oversee the architecture of a cutting-edge Java Spring Boot microservices application. This platform, centered on APIs for account management, transactions, and customer communication, will be containerized for seamless deployment across any major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in enterprise architecture, microservices, cloud-native technologies, and API design in the roadside tolling domain.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, including large-scale Java Spring Boot microservices.
  • Proven expertise in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Deep understanding of API design, RESTful services, and secure integrations.
  • Extensive experience in database design, optimization, and management (SQL and/or NoSQL).
  • Experience with ETL tools and data integration frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of security, compliance, and data privacy in financial applications.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and performance optimization in distributed systems.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications in cloud architecture (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Architect, etc.).
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
  • Background in roadside tolling, fintech or financial services.
  • Expertise in API gateways, service mesh, and cloud-native security solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Define and document the overall architecture for a scalable, secure, and resilient Java Spring Boot microservices application.
  • Design robust database architectures (relational) to support financial transactions, ensuring data integrity, scalability, and performance.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of ETL processes for data ingestion, transformation, and integration across internal and external systems.
  • Design API endpoints for account management, transaction processing, and customer communication, ensuring best practices in security, performance, and reliability.
  • Establish containerization strategies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.) to ensure portability and efficient deployment on any major cloud provider.
  • Create architectural standards and guidelines for microservices development, integration, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and DevOps teams to align business requirements with technical solutions.
  • Develop strategies for high availability, scalability, disaster recovery, and automated monitoring.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR) in API and data handling.
  • Evaluate and recommend technology stacks, frameworks, and tools to optimize development and operations.
  • Mentor development teams on architectural best practices and cloud-native patterns.
  • Continuously assess and improve application architecture to support evolving business needs and cloud innovations.
