The Enterprise Architect 2 (Data) is a principal‑level architect responsible for defining, advancing, and governing the Church’s enterprise data architecture strategy. This role establishes organization‑wide architectural standards, patterns, and governance across data domains such as data cataloging, data orchestration, data warehousing, enterprise data integration, and interoperability, ensuring they are effective, followed, and deliver measurable value. Working across multiple portfolios, the architect partners with senior enterprise architects, portfolio architects, engineering leaders, and business stakeholders to shape the future‑state enterprise data ecosystem. This includes evaluating and introducing capabilities such as Master Data Management (MDM), integration platforms (iPaaS), and enterprise data platforms to ensure data is discoverable, trusted, governed, and effectively leveraged to support mission outcomes and customer expectations. The role leads strategy across the Data domain such as entity correlation and data interoperability, enabling consistent, high‑quality data flows across systems and portfolios. The Enterprise Architect 2 (Data) also plays a key role in guiding organizational responses to emerging data technologies and disruptive trends, ensuring technical decisions align with Church standards, architectural integrity, and long‑term enterprise strategy. This role is primarily focused on enterprise data architecture and data platform strategy. This individual works with divine guidance to provide or support technology that furthers the mission of the Church and reflects the eternal impact of the gospel.
