About The Position

This supervisory position provides day-to-day leadership of the Enterprise Applications support function and team of professional staff in the support, operation, and life-cycle execution of Enterprise Systems portfolio in alignment with established roadmaps and standards at Grant PUD. Oversee the operational support and sustainment of assigned Enterprise Systems, ensuring applications meet reliability, security, and availability expectations as defined by established standards and roadmaps. Ensure users have the appropriate, reliable and secure core application capabilities required to perform their business functions. Works with various stakeholders to ensure service levels are met or exceeded within established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and best practices. The position Contributes to the development and maintenance of Enterprise Applications roadmaps by providing operational insight, workload analysis, and implementation recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field. OR 2 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
  • Five (5) years of progressive experience in Information Technology, or experience directly related to and applicable to the role’s requirements including 1 year of experience leading people, projects, or cross functional work.

Nice To Haves

  • Three (3) years of supervisory or team lead experience.
  • Certification in Business Systems Analysis, Cyber Security, ITIL, IT Service Management and Customer Service experience are desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates team participation in annual compliance audits of financial systems and supports necessary adjustments or corrective actions as recommended by our audit partners.
  • Define and prioritize project and resource schedules that align with enterprise systems roadmaps, available technology, Utility strategy and project demand; provide realistic capacity estimates and aligns staff workload to commitments, removing obstacles for staff.
  • Responsible for ensuring technology standards are adhered to, and that appropriate security and operational controls are implemented to safeguard Utility applications.
  • Responsible for ensuring a high level of stakeholder satisfaction is attained while providing services in coordination with Project Managers and enterprise systems stakeholders.
  • Provides regular coaching of staff, fostering goal-oriented thinking; provides leadership and direct feedback to employees regarding performance, career goals, risk management, project goals and stakeholder interactions.
  • Coordinate and lead meetings/communicating with business partners and other ET groups to remove impediments, plan and coordinate activities, manage relationships, and resolve conflicts.
  • Work with leaders in the Enterprise Technology Department to develop the ET strategy, business plans, application roadmaps and tactical initiatives to support projects and plans; ensures execution of the IT strategic plan, IT goals, roadmaps and various initiatives.
  • Support management with input on technology and project budgets including tracking current spending, future spending, identify ways to improve efficiency and optimize spending. Plan for future expenditures, current and potential contracts, paying invoices, and vendor coordination and contract activities.
  • Understand the needs of the department and coordinates the resources via a multi-year plan; allocate or coordinate training of staff where needed and fills potential gaps.
  • Lead, organize and proactively engage in department transformation initiatives, improving quality and professionalism, ensuring staff accountable to operating procedures.
  • Establish measures for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to meet department expectations and SLAs.
  • Demonstrate commitment to Grant PUD’s mission, vision, values, and strategic plan. The incumbent should quickly become familiar with these organizational priorities and behave in a way that aligns with these expectations.

  • Understand and adhere to compliance requirements for this position that may include laws, regulations, security guidelines, Grant PUD policies & procedures.
