About The Position

Enterprise Applications Specialist Tri-County Electric Cooperative (TCEC) POSITION PURPOSE This position exists to support the Cooperative's mission by assisting in the administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of enterprise applications that support business operations. The Enterprise Applications Specialist provides Tier I technical support while building technical knowledge within the enterprise applications environment. This role partners with team members to resolve system issues and contributes to reliable application performance while reinforcing a culture rooted in the Cooperative's Essential Attributes. JOB DIMENSIONS Internal Responsibility Works closely with IT teammates and business partners to provide Tier I application support, respond to user needs, and assist in maintaining efficient and reliable systems. External Responsibility Coordinates with vendors and service providers as directed to support system updates, troubleshoot routine issues, and maintain effective technology solutions. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Models the Cooperative's Essential Attributes as a consistent pattern of behavior and encourages the same in others. Provides Tier I support for enterprise applications by responding to user inquiries, assisting with troubleshooting, and escalating complex issues as appropriate. Supports the daily administration of enterprise systems by assisting with configurations, updates, and routine maintenance activities. Maintains system documentation, user guides, and support materials to promote operational consistency. Performs routine data validation and assists in supporting data accuracy and integrity. Assists in running standard reports and supporting business users with basic reporting needs. Documents business processes and workflows to support system improvements and knowledge sharing. Participates in system testing and supports implementation activities for application upgrades and enhancements. Coordinates assigned project tasks and maintains documentation to support successful project execution. Maintains documentation needed to support audits, internal standards, and organizational policies. Exercises sound professional judgment in recognizing system risks and escalating concerns to protect business operations. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education and Experience Associate's or bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Candidates bring at least two years of applicable experience supporting business applications, IT systems, or technical environments and demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and grow within the role. Relevant certifications (such as Microsoft Office Specialist, Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals, Laserfiche, or similar technologies) are preferred. Operational / Functional Experience The ideal candidate is a developing technical professional with strong analytical ability and a proactive approach to supporting enterprise technology. Experience that will contribute to success in this role may include, but is not limited to: Providing technical or application support Assisting with system updates, configurations, or testing Basic reporting or data management experience Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and reporting tools Exposure to database concepts or workflow tools preferred Experience supporting internal users in a professional environment While no candidate is expected to possess expertise in every area listed, successful candidates will demonstrate curiosity, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous learning.
